ForHealth Technologies, Inc. Signs Agreement with Novation

Contract Offers VHA Inc. and UHC Members I.V. Automation Technology with Proven Benefits for Pharmacy, Nursing and Hospital Operations

IRVING, TX – July 12, 2006 – ForHealth Technologies Inc. announced today it has signed an agreement with Novation, the health care contracting services company of VHA Inc. and University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) for IntelliFill i.v. IntelliFill i.v. is the first robotic technology to automate i.v. compounding and labeling with speed, accuracy and reductions in touch contamination risks. The agreement, which is Novation’s first with an i.v. automation technology firm, began on July 1, 2006 and runs though June 30, 2009.

IntelliFill i.v. automates the compounding and labeling of intravenous medication doses in syringes at speeds, accuracy and reduced risks of touch contamination often not possible using manual processes.  The robotic system employs barcode scanning, vision systems, weight confirmation steps and delivers patient-labeled, barcoded syringes prepared in an ISO Class 4 environment. As a result, IntelliFill i.v. is helping hospitals across the U.S. realize advances in patient safety, reductions in drug budgets and inventories, and overall improvements in operating efficiencies.

“As always, we want VHA and UHC members to have the most innovative and proven medical technology,” said Michael McGiboney, senior product manager at Novation. “Thanks to this agreement, IntelliFill i.v. will be available to VHA and UHC members for use in their facilities.”

“With this agreement VHA and UHC members will greatly benefit from ForHealth Technologies various financial incentive programs for our IntelliFill i.v. technology,” said Joel Osborne, president, ForHealth Technologies. “We look forward to working with Novation and its sales force to further educate the VHA and UHC membership on how IntelliFill i.v. can help them achieve their patient safety, operational, and regulatory goals.”
