ForHealth Technologies Clients Named on The Leapfrog Group’s Top Acute-Care Hospitals List

Daytona Beach, FL – November 16, 2006 – ForHealth Technologies Inc., makers of IntelliFill i.v.™, a high-speed robotic system for the preparation of IV medications in syringes, announced today that six of the firm’s clients have been named to The Leapfrog Group’s top 50 acute-care hospitals and top nine children’s hospitals for 2006.

According to The Leapfrog Group, a coalition of employers and healthcare purchasing organizations, the listed hospitals come closest to meeting the group’s quality standards. These standards, Leapfrog claims, would save 65,000 lives annually, prevent up to 907,000 serious medication errors, and save $41.5 billion, if adopted nationally.

The ForHealth Technologies clients named include Johns Hopkins Hospital, University of Maryland Medical Center, St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT, Oregon Health & Science University hospitals and clinics in Portland, OR, Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

“We’re extremely proud that several of our clients have been honored by The Leapfrog Group and we congratulate all who have been named,” said Rod Wolford, CEO, ForHealth Technologies. “The Leapfrog Group’s list represents only a snapshot of what our clients and others in the industry are doing to advance patient safety. As part of each of our clients’ strategies to improve the quality of care, IntelliFill i.v. is an important contributor to the achievement of their goals for patient safety, operational efficiency and financial well-being.”

In a recent article published in Pharmacy Purchasing & Products, Mary Inguanti, vice president of Operations and Quality, St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, stated, “From its bar coding capabilities to our current ability to make IV medications more readily available to nurses, the IntelliFill i.v. has helped our organization achieve its patient safety and medication quality goals.”
