Health system chooses ForHealth Technologies’
IntelliFill i.v. robot to reduces errors and hospital
costs

room automation, recently announced the selection of its
robotic I.V. dose preparation system, IntelliFill i.v.,
by the Alegent Health System. The largest

, Alegent Health System was
recently named the number one health system in the
country by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
(CMS). Alegent Health System is expected to install the
IntelliFill i.v. robot in December 2008 and plans to use
the system as the central component in a central fill
model. The speed and accuracy with which the robot
produces I.V. doses will allow for the automation of all
doses for five Alegent Health hospitals located in
Nebraska
and southwestern
Iowa
.
IntelliFill i.v. automates the preparation and
labeling of intravenous doses. It dramatically reduces
I.V. dose errors through advanced robotics and barcode
verification, and has already demonstrated its
effectiveness in the preparation of over 23 million
patient doses.

Alegent Health System joins a rapidly expanding
community of leading US hospitals making medication
